Procedure for the invitation and selection of consultants
When the procurement is for the selection of a consultant to provide a service the invitation and selection criteria must be suitably place weightings against experience, capability, work quality, price and ability to meet deadlines.
The request for quote (less than $100,000) or request for tender (greater than $100,000) should include the following:
- The scope of the project or service to be provided;
- An indication of the quality expectations for the project or service;
- The timeline for completion of the project or service;
- The project budget, if applicable;
- A notice to tenderers and conditions of tendering (if greater than $100,000);
- The criteria to be used in assessing submissions and an indication of the relative weighting to be given to each criteria;
- The contract to be used for the project or service;
- Contact details for the University’s contact officer; and
- A list of any information to be provided in submissions.
