Admission Requirements

Admission requirements are:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age by the time they commence their studies at the University of Canberra
  • Applicants must be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or holder of a permanent visa.

Applicants must demonstrate their likelihood of success in the UC-START program. As a guide the following evidence can be submitted with the application form:

    • ATAR score of 59
    • ACT Year 12 Certificate with a B to C grade average
    • successful completion of a Certificate III or higher
    • NSW Band Score average of 3 
    • full time work

Note: Students who do not meet the above guidelines, but can prove likelihood of success, can apply for an interview and present their case for admission.
