Cyber Security

Students will gain an understanding of the impact of cyber crimes on national security, critical infrastructure and emerging sovereignty rules.  Students will examine the trends and issues of cyber risks to internet-based and networked computer systems.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Discover the definitions of cyber security/warfare and its implications;
  • Identify and describe the impact of cyber security and state security issues;
  • Discuss the impact of cyber crime on society, and
  • Critically evaluate the current international legal issues of self defence and cyber armed conflict.
