Overview

The Research Area in Preventive Health and Improved Wellbeing provides opportunities for research activities that have applications across disciplines of biotechnology, biomedical sciences, population health, sports sciences, nursing and psychology.

The Research Area provides support services, infrastructure and a focal point to staff and graduate students whose goals are to contribute to knowledge, understanding and application of research questions in medical and health sciences.

Its members apply a multi-disciplinary approach to research to build upon existing research strengths, to provide a supportive environment for emerging research and to enable development of new research. The interdisciplinary membership of this Research Area is one of its strengths.

Specifically, this area supports research infrastructure, provides mentoring, seminars and training and has substantial links to professional organisations, research adjuncts and other institutions.
