Profile:
Binod is a demographer, who holds a PhD in Demography from the Australian National University (ANU). Having received an International Postgraduate Research Scholarship and an ANU PhD Scholarship, he commenced his doctoral study in April 2004 and submitted the thesis entitled ‘AIDS in Asia: Population perspectives on HIV’ in February 2007. His research interests are in demographic, population health and social issues in Australia and Asia. He joined NATSEM in early 2007. He worked as a program/research associate at the Centre for Research on Environmental, Health and Population Activities, Kathmandu, between 1997 and 2004.
