The Communication and Media Policy Institute

The Communication and Media Policy Institute is a leading specialist professional unit of the University of Canberra dedicated to policy-relevant research and analysis of the communications, media and information sector.

The focus of CMPI's research strategy in on the identification and analysis of factors pivotal to the development of efficient policies for the rapidly evolving communication, information and media industries. Research likely to advance understanding of the determinants of change in those industries and of their impact on society is a priority.

CMPI is closely linked to the Divisional Research Institute, particularly with the Communication Research area of research strength of the Division of Communication and Education.
