NATCIS Home
Welcome to NATCIS. NATCIS is focused on bringing sciences together to create novel human solutions. Our mission is to conduct research and deliver quality postgraduate education to improve human health, security and wellbeing using a cross disciplinary scientific approach to problem solving. We promote collaborative, integrative teamwork between our experts in chemistry, biomedical sciences, information sciences and forensic sciences to study foreign particles in a particular environment (e.g. viruses in people, chemicals in the environment, evidence left at a crime scene) and address major human problems such as asthma, cancer, infectious diseases, toxicology and crime investigation. We analyse, model, predict, prevent, minimise the impact of and treat adverse effects of these foreign particles. We support our members to increase the quality and quantity of their research and to teach and mentor the next generation of scientists in our multidisciplinary and innovative approaches, using frontier technologies.
By addressing human health and forensic science issues, the Centre addresses the national research priorities of Promoting and Maintaining Good Health and Safeguarding Australia and, through the development and use of innovative techniques and approaches, addresses the national research priority of Frontier Technologies for Building and Transforming Australian Industries.
NATCIS will provide a platform for you to carry out high quality post-graduate research and I am sure your experience with us will be highly rewarding.
