Workshops

The Careers Service conducts workshops and seminars to assist students make informed career choices and enhance their skills in seeking part time and full time employment and vocational experience.

Participation at these workshops count toward your achievement of points for the Canberra Award (under the area of Elective Short Courses).

Weekly Workshops:

Need help with your résumé? Attend the Résumé Review Session

This is a workshop where an experienced career practitioner from the Careers Service will be available to check your résumé in a group setting and give you practical tips on how to improve your document. This workshop is suitable for all students in any degree. Please bring a copy of your current résumé and any other relevant job application documents. The workshop will assume that you have a basic knowledge of résumés. You can do this by reading the relevant handouts available on the Careers Service website at http://www.canberra.edu.au/careers/students/career-planning-and-management. Please note, anyone arriving after the first 15 minutes will be advised to come to the next available workshop. These workshops are conducted weekly.

The drop in session is aimed at answering those quick questions regarding courses, job opportunities, graduate recruitment and job applications. Sessions are for no more then 15 minutes and take place each Thursday in the Careers Service from 10:30am – 12:00pm.
