Job Application Assistance
If you are applying for a casual or professional job, the Careers Service can provide advice and feedback on your résumé, cover letter and responses to the selection criteria. Workshops will take place throughout the year regarding résumé writing and job applications. Dates for these can be found on our Workshops page. You can also visit the Careers Service to obtain assistance. The Careers Service will not write your application for you, but instead provide information and assistance which will help refine and improve your application.
Before visiting the Careers Service you need to have:
- Undertaken some research on how to prepare a job application
- If you have access to Microsoft Office you can look at their résumé templates Microsoft Office to help guide your formatting.
- Look at the information and examples on job application documents provided see below.
- Prepared your job application documents (résumé, cover letter and/or selection criteria)
Please bring a hard copy of your documents with you.
