The University of Canberra is pleased to announce that it is extending the University of Canberra Regional Bonus Points Scheme to include NSW regional areas. School leavers in NSW will be able to more easily access courses at the University of Canberra through this scheme.
The University will award students an additional five points on their UAI when they apply to study at the University of Canberra. This extended scheme will apply from the first semester of 2008.
The University of Canberra recognises that higher education participation rates are often lower in regional NSW compared with some metropolitan areas. The scheme is the first of a number of initiatives the University is pursuing to support increased access to higher education for school leavers of the region.
The application of the additional points will be made automatically when a student applies to study at the University of Canberra through the University Admissions Centre (UAC).
Please note: The scheme does not include the ACT and Sydney Metropolitan Area and applies only to Australian students.
