The Australian Government currently invests over $200 million each year in international scholarships which, at any time, support around 5,000 international students, researchers and professionals to study in Australia and for Australians to study, research and undertake professional development overseas.

The Australia Awards will bring together Australian scholarship programs run by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) under a single recognisable brand.

The Australia Awards are comprised of two streams: an achievement stream that targets the best and brightest students, researchers and professionals to come to Australia and for Australians to do the same offshore; and a development stream that builds capacity in developing countries.

A variety of educational, research and professional development opportunities are available through the two Australia Awards streams:

Endeavour Awards
Development Awards

The Australia Awards aim to promote knowledge, education links and enduring ties between Australia and our neighbours through Australia’s extensive scholarship programs.

The University of Canberra is approved to accept and welcomes students awarded various Australia Government scholarships.
