Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, 2010

Lauren graduated from the University of Canberra in 2010, and was awarded the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects Graduate Prize for Design Communications. Lauren Kajewski has built a reputation as an emerging young leader in the property and construction industry.

After being recruited to the ACT Land Development Agency to work on some of Canberra's most notable urban renewal projects, Lauren joined Australia's largest diversified property company – Stockland, in Sydney.  With a strong passion for toxicology and human health, Lauren is a leader within the National Sustainability Team, with carriage of up to 70 projects nationally – including the recently acclaimed 6 Star Green Star, Green Building Council of Australia rated project – Caloundra South - Australia's largest certified project recognised for World Excellence in sustainability.

Completing a Masters of Sustainability and Environmental Management with Harvard University, puts her education to excellent use.  In 2014 Lauren established Stockland's Education Strategy, building a platform for healthy learning environments.  This includes rethinking the way schools are designed and delivered – and also how they engage with the broader community as a hub for inclusion, connectivity and lifelong learning.

Lauren's passion for enhancing sustainability in property and construction sector has led Lauren to be the 2015 recipient of the National Association for Women in Construction International Women's Day Scholarship.  Lauren's research is centred on increasing gender diversity and inclusion for young women her sector.
