Vice-Chancellor's Student Advisory Committee

Dear University of Canberra Student

Welcome to the Vice-Chancellor’s Student Advisory Committee subscription list (VCSAC).  If you wish to be on the VCSAC mailing list please follow the instructions provided.

VCSAC meetings have been in place for many years occurring around six times a year.   The main purpose of the meetings is for the Vice-Chancellor to hear the views of students about their studies and University life in general.  By subscribing to the mailing list you will be informed when meetings are to take place, suggest items on the agenda and receive feedback on outcomes.  During past years student attendance has been on the low side and the mailing list is one way to encourage more students to attend.  I must also say that establishing a mailing list for students was a suggestion by a student at a VCSAC meeting earlier this year.

The Vice-Chancellor meets with students during the year in other ways: informal discussions with randomly selected students twice a year to give wider opportunities to students to express their views on issues important to them.  He also meets with the Executive members of the University of Canberra Students Association as requested and required.

I look forward to meeting more students at the VCSAC meetings

Best wishes

Carmel O’Meara
Strategic Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor
