Newsroom staff

25 May 2017: How studying helped a mature age student rediscover himself after three traumatic life events and the way the modern mentor-mentee relationship is helping professionals succeed feature in the latest edition of Monitor, the University of Canberra’s official magazine.

Released this week, Monitor tells the touching story of 56-year-old Murray Rainey, who credits his decision to study at the University of Canberra as helping him beat depression, while University staff and alumni reveal how they’re continually learning from those around them.

Other highlights include a look at three alumni who have forged successful careers in their chosen field, a guide to beating chronic stress, and a look at a day in the life of a high-profile television presenter.

Monitor is now digitally available. Print copies are also available on campus.
