The program provides the opportunity for participants to learn about managing and leading at the University of Canberra while building internal networks and gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Graduate Rebecca Willis, from Study Abroad and Exchange, said that this program allowed her to gain a better understanding of what management entails.
"I greatly benefited from learning about management skills such as time management and establishing effective workplace relationships. I also learned that management is not only about reaching an end result to complete a task for the University, but perhaps more importantly, about keeping up good moral in the team and empowering employees to realise their full potential."
Deputy-director of Organisational Development Natalie Bowman opened the event, saying that this was the fourth year that the University has conducted the Certificate IV in Frontline Management and 45 people have graduated with the qualification in that time.
At the ceremony, Vice-president operations Bruce Lines presented the successful graduates with their certificates, congratulating them on their hard work and commitment to ongoing professional development.
The program was facilitated by Jacqui Retford through the University of Canberra College. Many of the modules were contextualised specifically for the University by working with staff from across the support areas, including Human Resources.
