Expression of Interest for Council positions

The University of Canberra Council and ACT Government are seeking expressions of interest from people interested in participating in a nomination process to fill future vacancies of Council members to be appointed by the ACT Chief Minister.

If you are considering nominating, you should obtain information on the University and the role of the Council, its committee structure and its membership from the University Council Website.

How to nominate

Eligibility

You must:

  1. be over 18 years old;
  2. not be disqualified from managing corporations under the Corporations Act, part 2D.6;
  3. not convicted of an offence punishable by imprisonment of at least one year.

Disqualification in relation to (c) ends on the later of, either five years after the date of the person’s conviction or five years after the date of the person’s release from prison.

Current staff, students and members of a Commonwealth or State parliament; the Legislative Assembly or legislature of another territory are not eligible to apply.

Fill out the nomination form DOCX, 38.75 KB, and email to secretariat@canberra.edu.au together with a cover letter and copy of your CV.

Nominations close on Friday, 2 March 2018 at 5 00 pm.
