Information Technology & Engineering

The Academic Program of Information Technology & Engineering (IT&E) covers the disciplines of Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Network Engineering. Studies in IT&E encompass the full spectrum of these disciplines with solid theoretical foundations and up to date, industry relevant skills, including system analysis, programming, networking, telecommunication, management, and research on advanced topics.

Research in Information Technology & Engineering has a strong focus on technology that puts the user into the centre. We undertake fundamental and applied research into the nature, creation and use of technology that enables people in all walks of life to take knowledgeable, well-informed and responsible actions.

We are interested in technology that assists humans in their life, that enables them to perform their tasks better, that allows them to be more productive and to communicate better, and that empowers them to achieve their goals.

We collaborate closely with researchers in health and elderly care, security, sport science, and telecommunications and with our partners in business, government and education.
