I am a statistician with nearly 10 years' experience in university teaching and administration. I have previously worked at the University of Newcastle (4 years) and University of Mauritius (6 years). I am an early career researcher and have published in leading international statistical academic journals. After completing my BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at the University of Mauritius, I joined the University of Manchester where I graduated with an MSc in Statistics. I was awarded a PhD in Mathematics (with major in Statistics) from the University of South Australia in 2009.

Research Interests:

  • Main research focus: Capture-Recapture modelling
  • Crime Statistics. Spatial Statistics.
  • Applications of statistical techniques in epidemiology and public health.
