Master - Initial Teacher Education

The Education faculty offers Master degrees that deliver initial teacher education for graduates in other disciplines.

These two-year postgraduate courses provide the knowledge and skills required to pursue a career as a teacher in either Secondary schools or Primary schools.

Informed by the latest research and with the delivery of the Australian Curriculum in mind, pre-service teachers discover pedagogical problem-based learning approaches within classroom and school settings and numerous ways to reflect upon their own professional learning objectives.

Like all Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) accredited education programs, students are required to successfully complete a Professional Experience component and pass the moderated Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA) that takes place within a school.
