Biography

Emily has worked as a Secondary teacher in the ACT for the last 6 years after completing her Undergraduate Studies in English and History, and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the University of Western Sydney. She began her career teaching Japanese and English before focusing her teaching on her area of specialty as an English teacher. She has a passion for student learning and wellbeing and has worked to ensure that she continues to develop her expertise as a teaching professional.

Emily joined the Education faculty in 2017 as a teacher in the Education program and is concurrently completing an Education Doctorate in the area of Pedagogical Content Knowledge. She remains a registered teacher in the ACT and a member of the ACT Association for the Teaching of English.
