Reset or change my password

Reset your password

If you are locked out of your computer, you can reset your password via the self-serve facility. Please note that you must register to be able to reset your password via self-service. Alternatively, you can call the Service Desk at (02) 6201 5500 for assistance.

Change your password

  1. Log into the MyUC portal
  2. Click Change UC Password from the menu bar on the top right of the screen
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen

The new password is to be chosen as a combination of letters in the alphabet, digits and special characters. Your password must be between 8 and 15 characters long and must contain at least one number and one special character - for example: $ - ! / = _

Normal alphabetic characters are case-sensitive - that is, "a" is not the same as "A".

To reduce the risk of anyone guessing your password, please ensure that your new password does not correspond to a word which is likely to appear in any dictionary:

  • do not use people or place names;
  • do not use dates, telephone numbers, registration numbers etc.

A good method for selecting a password is to join two small words with a special character, but check that this does not result in a new word.
