  • Dusk Dawn
  • The Works of Art

Dusk and Dawn are two globular shaped vases purchased in 2011 by the University from Daly's Shades of Light exhibition at the Watson Arts Centre. Both works have a light and lustre that has a synergy that creates colour and movement. As the light changes (both artificial and natural), the effect upon the ceramics changes.  According to Daly, in his studio environment, there are constantly changing shades and intensities as he goes between his home and studio: light through mist, rain, clouds, passing, light, dust, heat and the moment as the sun goes down, that after glow that changes for just a moment the land and sky. This is Greg Daly's inspiration.

These works were purchased by the University of Canberra in 2011.
