Art Collection Management

At the time of writing, the University of Canberra has almost 700 works of art in its art collection. On top of the sculptural installations, paintings, drawings and prints the University has a duty of care for, the coordinator also manages smaller collections including about a 100 gifts from universities from across the world and sporting memorabilia. In order to manage this diverse collection effectively, the coordinator has developed a collections management plan which is central to a framework of procedures, policies and forms. Although the procedure has been reviewed, it has yet to be formally endorsed.

Next to the Collections Management Plan, the Coordinator is setting up a number of Emergency recovery bins in order to manage any unforeseen incidents. Watch this space for more information.
