University Centenary Narrative
THE UNIVERSITY OF CANBERRA: 100% COMMITMENT TO THE CAPITAL
For nearly half of Canberra’s 100 year history, the University of Canberra has been committed to inspiring bright young, and not so young, minds. Many of our graduates and academics are leaders in their professions, contributing to the welfare and prosperity of our country, and advancing its collective knowledge. Many of them shape and influence national public debate in their areas of expertise. The University is proud of every one of its 65,000+ graduates drawn from the Australian Capital Territory, every state and territory in Australia and more than 100 countries around the world. Our University is not only in Canberra but also of Canberra, and we proudly celebrate both our city’s Centenary and our bright future as Australia’s Capital University.
2013 marks 100 years since the naming of Canberra and is also the University of Canberra’s 45th birthday. The University’s Centenary program complements the ACT Government’s 100 Canberra program and, like it, includes both new and exciting projects and showcases of what is already special.
The program will be released progressively with details and records of activities posted here as they become available.
